Roast Turkey

The main event for any table or meal, and the one to make you want to take a nap, the Turkey. Happy Turkey Day.

Turkey – dried, giblets removed
Carrot – medium dice
Onion – medium dice
Celery – medium dice
Herbs – any you want
Oil – neutral
Salt and Pepper

heat the oven to 325 degrees F.
Brush the Turkey with oil.
Place all the veggies and herbs inside the cavity, it can be loose.
Rub Salt and Pepper all over the turkey.
Tent with Foil, and Roast until internal temp is 155-157 degrees F, Remove and let rest for at least 15 minutes before carving, the internal temp should come up to 160 degrees F.
During cooking, periodically baste the turkey with it’s own juices and a little melted butter.
